Triathlon

Rather than photographing the media-saturated iron man triathlon in Boulder, I decided to photograph a smaller, easier triathlon that was nevertheless greatly important. Tri for the Cure is a triathlon that raises money for cancer, and a large number of cancer survivors take part. Unfortunately some combination of the running, crawling, crouching, and chest-deep cold water made what I thought was an already passed kidney stone remind me of its jagged presence. It turns out crippling abdominal pain is a pretty huge detriment to photographing a triathlon, so unfortunately most of the shots I got are from the beginning of the race.
